BookMyOT is the brainchild of a team of young, practicing doctors with over 15 years of extensive clinical experience, working across major corporate and semi-corporate hospitals in Hyderabad. Deeply passionate about medical practice and patient care, the founders envisioned creating a pan-India digital platform that bridges the long-standing gap between professional medical resources and healthcare infrastructure.

Through vast hands-on clinical exposure, experience as NABH assessors, and active involvement in leading anaesthesia and critical care societies, the team gained a comprehensive understanding of the logistics of anaesthesia, critical care practices, and the critical need for better coordination and geo-location–based medical practice.

Conducting surgeries in the medical field involves complex logistics, detailed planning, and coordination of multiple skilled professionals. While India is rich in highly trained medical professionals, there exists a significant lack of connectivity, coordination, and transparency between healthcare professionals and medical infrastructure.

At BookMyOT, we conducted extensive grassroots-level research to understand how the surgical ecosystem functions across India and identified key inefficiencies affecting both doctors and patients.

Based on these insights, BookMyOT has created India’s first digital surgical ecosystem, bringing together hospitals, surgeons, anaesthetists, and allied healthcare professionals on a single platform to enable better practice protocols, efficient coordination, and improved delivery of patient services.

With vast experience in clinical practice and managing professional medical teams catering to major hospitals in Hyderabad, the team has also developed a uniform and rational professional charges calculator for anaesthetists, aimed at addressing long-standing discrepancies and lack of transparency in professional fee payments.

In close collaboration with major corporate hospital managements and with inputs from key healthcare stakeholders—including medical associations, nursing home associations, anaesthesia and surgical societies across India, and department heads of leading medical colleges and universities—the team has envisioned a unique concept called “BookMyOT – Patients.”

This initiative empowers patients with the right to choose their surgical practice centre, removing dependency on middlemen and helping patients plan surgeries based on their preferences, while significantly reducing the burden of unpredictable and inflated surgical costs.

Our mission is to strengthen India’s surgical ecosystem by leveraging modern AI technology, improving coordination, enhancing transparency, delivering quality surgical care, increasing patient satisfaction, and reducing unnecessary cost inflation in medical procedures.
